Just Not Good

Monday night's game against the Cardinals has the look and feel of every other game this season, the visiting Cards are launching balls out of the yard, running all over the base paths while the Friars continue to swing and miss. Even the white hot Brian Giles is making bone-head mistakes as he ran into an inning ending out after delivering a run scoring single. I think what bothered me the most on Monday was the 3rd out of the 1st frame turned into a 2 run homer, as Scott Hairston pushed a ball over the left field wall. FF though the Padres were continuing to bury top prospect, Chase Headley, in AAA so he work work on his defense? Strange, very strange.

This team has made it possible for die-hard Friar fans to not care about the Padres, this season is quickly becoming the most miserable in recent memory.
