Padres Are Not Crying Wolf
Randy Wolf, the free agent pick up and likely #4 starter in the San Diego rotation this season had his second straight rough outing this spring. The southpaw recording only 2 outs while giving up four runs in both his Cactus League outings. The veteran is not panicking as he exclaims that this has been typical throughout his career. With the first 3 spots ironed out for the Friars heading into the 2008 season (Peavy, Young, and Maddux) the club is expecting Wolf to give them quality innings in the 4th slot and have a stop gap type hurler to keep the recovering Mark Prior's seat warm for the final spot in the rotation.
