Pads Land Lefty For Rotation

The Padres agreed to terms (1 year deal) with veteran LHP Randy Wolf on Saturday just days before the GM Winter Meetings start in Tennessee. Wolf tossed for the Dodgers last season winning 9 games for LA. Wolf figures to be one of the two starters that was on the Friars wish list. Some of the other names floating around to join last years Cy Young winner Jake Peavy, future HOF Greg Maddux, and All Star Chris Young are Mark Prior (SD native), and Matt Clement (ex Padres). Both Priior and Clement are coming off of shoulder surgery.
